Marriage Equality

The Senate Judiciary committee took an historic step today, passing S.115 (the marriage equality bill) by a 5-0 margin. The measure is slated to be voted on by the full Senate on Monday.

Vermont Freedom to Marry is requesting that supporters contact their Senators to urge them to vote "yes" on S.115. And, you can contact members of Senate Judiciary (Sen. Sears, Sen. Campbell, Sen. Mullin, Sen. Cummings, and Sen. Nitka) to thank them for their passage of this important bill that will confer this fundamental civil right to the gay and lesbian community.
Kudos to the Senate Judiciary comittee for taking this important first step to marriage equality.
